On Saturday 13th September I travelled to London to launch the How to Shoot Professional Wrestling course. This was our very first shoot day—where theory meets practice and students step behind the camera to film a live show.

We were welcomed by the brilliant team at UKPW at Falconwood Community Centre, and several of our students joined in. Shooting a near three-hour wrestling event is no small task, and those holding cameras on their shoulders for the entire show certainly felt the strain.

Watching them work took me back to my own early days, both on the independent circuit and later with WWE. Filming wrestling is unlike anything else—the physical and mental demands are on another level.

Every student rose to the challenge, and it was hugely rewarding for me to guide them through the experience and give them a real taste of what it’s like to capture a live wrestling show.
